Had a rough morning, losing my one grand in profit plus another grand before noon. Decided to make myself feel better with a great lunch at Tableau. Glass of pinot grigio and three apps. Started with the tuna tartare which was prepared with avocado and mango with a soy vinaigrette. Nice presentation and the tuna was first rate. Then I had the lobster salad which had a chunk of tail meat and a chunk of claw meat over frisee. Not sure what the dressing was, but it was delicious. Finished up with the carpaccio salad, basically a plate of beef carpaccio with a garlic crouton ring in the middle, kind of like a napkin ring shape, holding up a bunch of mini lettuce leaves. The presentation looked great, but the garlic crouton was a little ill conceived since it was so hard that cutting into it was a daunting proposition for fear of having to use so much force that part of it might fly off the plate if I succeeded in getting through it. The flavors were great though, with little bits of cheese and a caper aioli as garnish. Hard to imagine a better lunch. I assume all my meals will be comped as I’ve been putting in a lot of hours at the tables and pretty much getting smoked. After lunch I lost 2 more 1k buy-ins, so I’m back in my room chillin for now so I don’t play all reckless when I head back down there. Heidi should be arriving shortly too, so maybe she’ll bring some good luck. For now, it’s afternoon nap time…
