Just a quick update on my recent silly purchases. I did in fact buy that MacGregor MacTec NVG driver, but got it off of ebay so I only paid $300 for it. My cowboy hat was ordered but probably won’t arrive for another month or so ($630). Also ordered a Russian hockey jersey ($80) which won’t arrive until March. A ton of NHL players have gone to play in the Russian Elite League because of the NHL lockout. Alex Kovalev, whom I know because he’s also a regular at Hajime, joined the AK Bars Kazan team so that’s the jersey that I ordered. I don’t even know what number he’s wearing over there, but hopefully the company I ordered from, LutchAmerica.com, will get it right. Everyone has NHL jerseys, so having a Russian jersey will be so much cooler. In other spending news, I got my AmEx 2004 summary this week, and apparently I ate at Hajime 59 times last year. While that might seem crazy, it’s actually four times less than 2003!
