My friend Ching, er, Chris Yen has landed a starring role in a movie; check out the website http://www.johnnytao.com. She’s one of my favorite people, despite the fact she never drank much (not that I’m an alcoholic or anything, but I probably did more partying than studying thru my college years so I didn’t have a lot of non-drinking friends). You know you’re a cool chick when you’re the one person who doesn’t drink much but the rest of us who enjoy the occasional binge drinking session still loved having you around. And not just as the designated driver or something lame like that. She was cool cause she somehow encouraged drunkeness while not getting drunk herself. Maybe it was just cause she giggled like she was drunk so we stil felt like she was as fugged up as we were. She always called herself Ching except maybe one pool league season when she went by Christine, but now I guess it’s all Chris all the time. I’m thrilled she made it. Her mom is a wushu legend and her bro is a superstar if you’re into martial arts flicks at all, so I’m glad she landed a gig where everybody will be able to laud her talent instead of her lineage. Oh and by the way, she can probably kick your ass in pool and make it look like she got lucky.
