Jones’ daughter inhales her food!

So yesterday was Jones’ dad’s 70th birthday lunch. Got to see Jones’ twins for the first time since x-mas and they’re as cute as ever. S is a little shy, but C is a real attention monger. She’s really cute and loves posing for pictures and will pretty much do anything to get and hold your attention. For the most part it’s all fun but apparently she can be a handful at feeding time. Somewhere along the way she discovered that if she puts food up her nose whomever is feeding her gets all riled up, so now of course she loves to do just that. I just talked to Jones and he had quite the adventure over lunch today. He brought the twins to work because his office has a good daycare facility in the building. They called him at lunch asking him to come downstairs because yes, C had managed to stuff a piece of macaroni up her nose and they couldn’t get it out! So Jones goes down there, tries to remove the offending piece of pasta from C’s tiny little nostril, but of course fails. The company medical staff tells him they can’t help because they’re only insured for treating employees, not the dependents of the employees (so too bad it wasn’t Jones with the macaroni up his nostril 🙂 ). Anyway, they were concerned that if the macaroni became dislodged in the opposite direction, it could block her airway, so they suggested that he call an ambulance to get them over to a hospital to have them take care of it there. So Jones is sitting there with the kids, waiting for the ambulance when suddenly C lets out a tremendous sneeze! Out comes the macaroni with a little side of tuna and problem solved. For now. Something tells me though, that this is going to be a recurring situation!
